    The Reluctant Reference-Giver
The days are long gone when managers felt free to sit on the phone for half an hour, providing an in-depth job reference for a former colleague or subordinate. These days, HR departments are cracking down on renegade reference-givers, restricting references to the basic facts of job title, start date and ending date. The good news is that managers are
in length of a single day on June 21st, 22nd or 23rd . we do celebrate the change on one specific day and we are able to prepare ourselves for the next season.

You can be prepared for a change, but still you do not know what you will feel like when the particular day “arrives.” At the moment it is hard (for those living in the northern hemisphere) to imagine the winter again, where you are all dressed up ...But all of a sudden, one day in October you may feel tired and depressed. Now you probably think, "that will not happen to me," but you cannot be sure

Show Your Skills with Responses to Technical Interview Questions
Interview questions come in many forms and serve many different purposes. Some are used to get to know you, while others are used to gather information. Technical interview questions are used to test your logic, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The key to answering these types of questions is to relax and to not over-think. They are most commonly in in
What do you mean with change? Who is affected? Why it happens? Where? Or, when? When exactly does something change?

The amount of sun light that you may receive throughout the year is a variable linked to seasonal development. If you start to observe this seasonal cycle at the beginning of the winter season, than the days -– that part of the day with daylight -- will increase every day, but only with a differential of seconds or minutes. Than, before the summer is even started the lengths of days start to shrink again. Maslow developed the theory of human motivation, more famous for the … “hierarchy of needs… often depicted as a pyramid of which the lowest level hold the most basic needs. Like animals we need to breathe, drink (water), rest and eat. But could you imagine an animal to feel sad because of an underexposure of daylight?

Now for the sake of understanding change you might wonder when, during this cycle of day light variations, is your mood affected. The amount of daylight we receive affects all of us, but we are able to adjust to this change. It are small changes that scale on a daily bases, but all of a sudden, we acknowledge the effect of autumn. People that are prone to the Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) are not able to adapt to these changes. For them "...the darker half of the year brings a heavy veil of sadness. They become depressed, listless, chronically fatigued, and their mood does not rebound until March, when the daylight extends to early evening." If you are not prone to this disorder, you are able to adapt to these small changes. Then the question is; how do you do that? What is your tactic? Do you adjust to the fall of autumn by evaluating the previous ended summer and that you can do with a change... That you have had enough sunlight? ... That you can appreciate the value of each season?

This is probably why there are seasons (although not everywhere). Human culture has put order in the life around us, and seasons form part of this. It is our culture that provides a way to handle and confront the natural environment around us. Although you will not notice the difference in length of a single day on June 21st, 22nd or 23rd . we do celebrate the change on one specific day and we are able to prepare ourselves for the next season.

    Restaurant Employee Theft
Restaurant owners don’t run a cash machine 24/7. They face the reality of being observed by thieves undercover and this alone is a serious threat not only to the business but to the safety of the management, staff and customers. The most difficult part about this harm is there is no certain point one realizes that there is a thief lurking around the corner w

Taking the Sting Out of Employee Evaluations
Employee evaluations serve an important purpose. They let both the employee and the company know how things are going. Ideally, they offer feedback, guidance and recognition; too often, though, they become just another drudgery and serve no real purpose. Here are some ways to improve the experience for both sides. For the Supervisor.1. The numbe
