Courageous Leadership - 5 Steps to Survive Uncertain Times
June 8, 2007In this era of intense competition, rapid change, and overwhelming complexity it can be a dog eat dog world. It is the survival of the fittest. Simply put, you either come correct or stay at home! What do you do when you feel like you can’t run with the “big dogs;” and staying on the porch is not an option? The 5 steps to courageous leadership can provide you with strategies that give you the confidence you need to lead in uncertain times.Step 1 Do Not Focus On ProblemsCourageous leaders understand that focusing on the problems only breeds negative thoughts. Negative thoughts interrupt the creative forces of the brain. Turning lemons into lemonade may be clich?; but it is still practical. Problems are nothing more than brilliantly disguised opportunities. This world exists in delicate balance; for every up there is a down, for every good there is a bad. And for every problem there is a solution. Therefore the key to courageous leadership is to be solution oriented and not fixated on the effects of the problem.Step 2 Choose Immediate ActionIgnorance on fire is better than knowledge on ice. It takes action to get the job done; but the thieves of activity are indecision and procrastination. The ringleader for these thieves is fear. The fear of failure or the fear of making the wrong decision has foiled many accomplishments. Courageous leaders understand that it is better to make a decision than no decision at all; because even if it is the wrong decision the quicker it’s made the quicker you can arrive at the right conclusion. Courageous leaders say, “Leap and grow your wings on the way down.”Step 3 Maintain Belief in You AbilitiesThe impossible is possible. But only to those who believe. You will never accomplish what others only dream of if you are a S.N.I.O.P. That means Susceptible to the Negative Influences of Other People. Courageous leaders maintain a firm conviction that their strengths are greater than their obstacles. People who have succeeded against insurmountable odds to do extraordinary feats were often labeled crazy in the beginning. However, while others doubted and called them crazy they never doubte

Understanding What's A Good Credit Score
Thousand of people world wide go to the shops and banks everyday and ask for credit cards, but very few of them ask the question whats a good credit score. These same people then go out on shopping and buying sprees not thinking what the monthly installment will be, how it will affect their credit score and whether or not they will be able to pay the debt back at the end of the first three months. What really gets them to apply for the credit card in the first place is the marketing campaign that says that you do not pay for the first three months. But what happens after those initial three months? That is the question you will need to ask. Many banks and money lender or services providers do not tell you what you will have to pay x amount if you spend x amount. All they do is look at whether or not you have a good credit score record, and if you do they give you credit. As a result, you have the chance of spoiling your good credit, and if you have bad credit already, they will turn you away in a heartbeat, not thinking that it is companies like them that put you in bad credit in the first place. Now not many people know whats a good credit score let alone what a good credit score does for their financial well being. What's A Good Credit ScoreA good credit score is what these credit providers look at when determining if you are a good candidate for credit or not. It is what tells them if you are able to pay back the loan they gave or the credit card they issue you with.We all need to keep track of our credit score in or to determine whether to stop spending or to determine whether to just simply cut up the credit cards you have. Many credit agencies say is that if you are looking to buy a home or get a home loan, from investor that buy home loans from banks and resell them to the average person at double the price, you will need a credit score. Frequently to get these loans you will need a good average credit score of higher than 620.If your score is lower than 620 you will need to make further inquiries or you will be turned down flat out. What many people do not know is that if you have a bad credit score your name will be entered into the credit bureau.<
Listing names of Big Mail Requestors, and sending out packages of Big Mail is an easy way to get your start in the business of selling by mail. There are a number of mail order operators pulling in an easy, extra thousand dollars a month, by what you'd hardly call work - doing nothing more than receiving money for advertising a list of people's names interested in receiving Big Mails, and sending out envelopes stuffed to overflowing with Big Mail.

Regardless of where you live - you age - teenager or senior citizen - man or woman - there is no reason you can't do the same - pull in extra thousand dollars a month, with the same idea.

Getting started is not as easy as turning on a water tap, but then your initial investment will amount to practically nothing - and the requirements upon your time should not amount to more than a few hours a week

First, let's define the market - Who wants Big Mails, and why they want it... Big Mails are wanted or should be wanted, by just about every person in business, especially those involved in selling a product via the mails, in order to keep himself abreast of who's doing what, how they're doing it, the new offers being made and the newcomers to the business. The reasoning is because of the time and postage saved by automatically receiving all of this information, as opposed to writing and mailing letters to each individual offer you see that arouses your interest, not to mention the time saved in searching through all the different publications to discover these things. Some people - the dreamers and the lonely - like to receive Big Mails simply for the sake of having mail delivered to them every day. There's no sure way of determining which of your Big Mail Requestors these people are - so you just forget about it, and send your Big Mails to everybody on your list. Besides, the actual number of people in this category are fewer than you might suspect.

Now, let's define what's inside a Big Mail Package you or your buyers - Big Mail Requestors - will be receiving in the mail... Generally, you'll find at least one, but usually several publications: ad sheets, tabloid mail order newspapers, and an occasional newsletter. The rest is almost always a collection of various product advertising circulars. At least two of these circulars will be from the person sending the package to you in the first place.

A Coach's Playbook for Workplace Teams
We cheer for our favorite teams in sports, communities, schools and even families. So why don't we see workplace teams in the same rah-rah way?For all the big talk, matching T-shirts and off-site strategy sessions, calling a group of people a team doesn't make it one. These groups are usually just a collection of individuals from the same department who meet periodically.Few of us have been lucky enough to participate in a strong, united team. These groups rise to ever higher levels of performance and make all of us better than any one of us.Laying ground rules, setting goals and dealing with naysayers are just a few of the guidelines that can help your team reach its goals, whether they be improvements in productivity, customer service, quality, process management, innovation, cost effectiveness, job satisfaction, morale or financial performance. Why many groups aren't teamsHere are some of the reasons that many groups aren't effective teams:Lack of focus: If members don't have a shared picture of what success would look like, they will pull against each other. They also should have an emotional commitment to what they're doing.Confusion between team building and team development: Giving everyone a T-shirt may produce short term warm and fuzzy feelings but it rarely leads to a powerful, united team unless root issues are addressed. An example of a root issue might be chronic animosity between managers working with the team.Too much attention on the team itself: Some teams are so busy sailing the ship they have gone off course. They confuse their frantic activity for progress.Lack of priority setting: If everything is urgent, group members will feel overwhelmed.Poor processes: Typical team members often have little training in such basic skills as meetings, conflict resolution, planning, follow up and problem solving. They may not even be aware of them.Misuse of e-mail: It's a great way to share information but a poor way to communicate. Weak groups spend more time interacting with their computer screens than with each other.Victim mentality: Less effective groups that feel powerless will point fingers at senior management, customer

Many, if not most of the beginners in this business, first get their name listed as a Big Mail Requestor, on as many Big Mails Wanted lists as possible. They even save the mail they receive, and once a week, every other week, or once a month, they stuff their accumulated Big Mail into individual envelopes and send it to the names on their lists of people who have paid to be listed as Big Mail Requestors. Don't forget - All Big Mail suppliers always include at least a couple of two-sided circulars of their own. These are usually Commission

Circulars - product advertising circulars, sometimes provided by a prime source or distributor with a blank space on the reply coupon for the dealer doing mailing to rubber stamp his business name and address. More often than not, the distributor furnished the dealer with "camera ready" copies of circulars to use.

The dealer takes these C/R's to a quick print shop, and has several thousand copies made up with his business name and address imprinted on each circular.

Every time you send out a package of Big Mail, always include two advertising circulars of your own - circulars that may interest the recipient and cause him or her to send to you for the product or service offered. These can be commission - dropship - products, or products that you have devised, produced and are selling.

Incidentally, the best way to go with commission circulars is to ask for or get a camera-ready copy of the original, and have a large quantity of them printed locally with your name in place of the supplier. This will save you hours of very boring work entailed in rubber-stamping your name on several thousand circulars. If for whatever reason it's too expensive to get your circulars printed locally, then check around for a printer who does business by mail, and will make your circulars for you with your name and address on the ordering coupon. Also, it will almost always pay for you to have the printer fold your circulars for you before he ships them to you - he can do it all in about an hour, while it could take you a couple of days to a week or longer to fold 5,000 circulars yourself.

You can include as many product circulars in your package of Big Mail as you want, but It's been proven time and time again that three very g
