or other people might be something worthwhile to offer, so I created a way for people to send me their personal photos and events information to create calendars that bring them as much pleasure and usability as the information brings me. Now I do not have to write all my events on paper calendars every year, and I have a new way to appreciate all the photographs I enjoy viewing on a regular basis. Being somewhat of a shutter bug, I got into digital photography as a hobbyist, and started taking what I think are beautiful photos of the places I visit, the family, and other subjects. As I went through the pictures, I started thinking of different ways to use the photos rather than occasionally paging through them and allowing them to be forgotten in the sea of new pictures that I take on a regular basis. For a while, I used my photos as desktop wallpapers, changing to a new picture about once a month, or whenever the urge struck to look at something new.

Then it occurred to me that I could possibly use my photos in a calendar format, to get both the utility of tracking birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and other fixed events of interest I wanted to remember. Putting calendars on the wall is one thing, but I wanted a quick, inexpensive, and readily viewable source for this information, so I started working with the idea of creating calendars for my computer desktop. As I looked around for ways to accomplish this, I could not find a way to get this done from year to year in a way that did not involve a lot of expense and effort, so I created a method for doing it myself. Of all the screen wallpapers and products available, there was nothing that really struck me as anything other than pretty pictures. There were some free downloads with dinky calendars incorporated into pictures, but nothing I could use to really get the kind of utility I wanted for the information I wanted to display.

With all that room on the desktop of my computer, I thought there should be enough space to get the events I wanted to remember, and see some of the nice digital photographs I have taken over time. To make a long story short, I worked out a system for creating desktop calendars that accomplished everything I wanted, and gave me the utility I needed without risking my personal information getting out all over the web. When I was finished with the project, I found it to be something of value to me and several of my friends. Since my company sells software, I thought that an inexpensive service to create personalized calendars for other people might be something worthwhile to offer, so I created a way for people to send me their personal photos and events information to create calendars that bring them as much pleasure and usability as the information brings me. Avoid Failure by Planning for Success!
Provisional figures released in October by UCAS for the 2006 year intake show that 868 people enrolled in degree or degree equivalent courses in complementary medicine this year. If you add in to this figure the number of people choosing non-degree courses and entering the profession, then the number is likely to be in excess of 2,000 people this year alone. The UCAS d
