And, (as you may have noticed in your interpersonal relationships) is what determines how you perceive others; even how you perceive their perceptions; how you react to others, and they you.Your website visitors are clearly not going to check their personality at your homepage. If anything else, when searching for products and services, users’ personalities will emerge all the more – a purchase is a ‘big deal.’ As we’ve mentioned, online buyers make emotionally based purchases justified by logic only after the sale. Okay, okay. Personality. To be successful online you have to focus on your visitors, not yourself.A few basic elements that work to convey your website personality and appeal to those of your visitors, are things like look and feel, tone and manner, narrative, emotional flare, etc. Basic design and structural elements are equally as important. Does your homepage copy begin with “Welcome to our website. We are super awesome, and if you will have a look around, you will surely agree with us….” What that says is that a: you’re self centered, and don’t care about your customer, and much less how you can solve their problem.Let’s take a look at a few other website traits and personality translations:Characteristic: Website Copy > It takes longer than 4 seconds for my visitors to understand what my site is about.Message: “We don’t know how to express ourselves,” (or worse) “There’s not much of value here to be expressed.”Characteristic: Code > It takes longer than 4 seconds for my pages to loadMessage: “You will wait.”Characteristic: Layout / Design > I have unnecessary design elements and images that detract from my important copy, and the foca ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD: Genesis 18:14: Is anything too hard for the Lord? Psalm 107:29: He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. What's the deal with the hidden job market? Why is everyone always talking about it? What is it?The hidden job market is comprised of jobs that are filled before they are advertised. It is estimated that about 75% of all jobs are in the hidden job market. Why? Because employers hate to hire. The hiring process is extremely expensive and time-consuming.They have to advertise the opening, sort through hundreds of resumes and spend weeks, sometimes even months interviewing and trying to select the perfect applicant.Employers only hire when they have a need to be fulfilled, and even in that situation they will avoid actively seeking applicants as long as they possibly can.So how does this help you? How can you find jobs that are in the hidden job market? Most importantly, how can you get interviews for jobs in the hidden job market? One way is to network - which we briefly discussed in Part One of this course. While that is one very effective way to find jobs both advertised and unadvertised, it's not necessarily the fastest way to find a job.The quickest and most powerful method for accessing jobs in the hidden job market is cold-calling.Employers love a candidate who is bold and assertive enough to go this route. Cold calling may seem scary at first, but it really isn't as bad as you think. Many people are afraid of cold-calling for two reasons:They feel like they are intruding; they think the employer doesn't want to be bothered. We've already learned this isn't true. Employers like to be "bothered" by someone who can solve their problems or fulfill a need in their company - that way they don't have to actively seek out prospective employees. What's the best way to find out if they have a need?Call them up and find out!The second reason people generally don't like col GOD'S LOVE: Job 36:26: How great is our God--beyond our understanding! Is.40:2 TLB: Speak tenderly...and tell her that her sad days are gone.Business insurance is something to consider when you start any business because any type of business may need the protection that insurance provides from time to time.An internet business is a little different from a traditional brick-and-mortar business because generally, customers don't visit the place of business. Also, most internet businesses are home-based, so homeowners' insurance may cover basic business equipment such as a personal computer and related computer equipment. So, with an internet-based business, the primary concern is not necessarily protection from loss of equipment and materials; however, even an internet business may need some type of insurance protection. There are several types of business insurance that many businesses simply can't do without. Some of the common types of insurance for businesses include property insurance, liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, malpractice insurance, and prepaid legal insurance.Of course there are other types of insurance for business owners and their employees such as health, dental, vision, and life insurance. Learning about these different types of insurance and analyzing your own situation will help you to determine what type of business insurance you need for your internet business.Property InsuranceProperty insurance is sometimes required if you lease or finance business property. If your internet-based business is in your home, talk to your homeowners' insurance provider to find out if your homeowners' policy covers your business equipment. If it doesn't, and the value of your equipment is minimal, it may not be in your best interest to purchase a policy specifically to cover your business equipment and fixtures bec DAILY BATTLE: Psalm 27:14: Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. I could probably write an article a week directed at these. Some will help would be writers and some wont but one thing for sure is that most of them are interesting.1. FootnoteA footnote is a complete bibliographical citation indicated by a number in the text. Endnotes follow the same format but are listed on a page at the end of the paper. Today’s great computer programs make them easy to prepare.2. ParagraphsParagraphs in newspapers are most often one or two sentences long. Paragraphs in essays are far longer. Newspapers writers assume your not going to read the article all the way through. They keep their paragraphs punchy to keep you interested. Essay writers assume you’re in for the long haul. They have the luxury of writing more discursive passages.3. English Is DifferentAll English isn’t the same. British English, used not only in Great Britain but also in India, the West Indies, and parts of Africa, uses some words and phrases differently from American English. For example, here are some common British words and the American equivalents: Lorry(truck), lift(elevator), bonnet(car hood), chips(French fries), crisps(snack chips), flat(apartment), barrister or solicitor(attorney or lawyer), nappy(diaper), mate(buddy), sweets(candy).4. Expert FieldsWarning: The writer’s education and academic degrees must match the field in which he or she is claiming expertise. Having a medical degree in brain surgery, for example, doesn’t give someone the credentials to write about rocket science-or any other subject outside his or her field.5.
