    Writing through Troublesome Times
Some people, like me, pick up pen and paper or go to the computer when sorrow, grief, or other trouble strikes. The need to put emotion, especially that caused by trauma, into words becomes overwhelming. Words spill across the page or screen, allowing us to cope with the pain swamping our spirits.Does verbalizing help us cleanse the poison of suffering from our hearts and minds? Or, are our words a cry for help? Perhaps, we need to verbalize and receive help in order to heal. In fact writing therapy is a recommended way of dealing with problems of all kinds.Putting my emotions into words helped me

What To Consider When Buying An Outer Banks Beach House
Are you interested in moving to the Outer Banks area of North Carolina? When it comes to buying an Outer Banks beach house, like all other types of Outer Banks properties, there are a number of important factors that you will want to take into consideration. When looking to buying an Outer Banks beach house, it is advised that you look past the beach. I’ve been thinking again. I know some of my readers regard that as a dangerous thing. For instance, the guy who ended his last letter to me with a “your hypocrisy knows no bounds”. I get these sorts of letters all the time.

But, I have been thinking and, of course, I have been thinking about America’s obsession with shutting down the Mexican-American border. You would wonder why I don’t tire of this rhetoric and the reason is simple. America needs the likes of your humble and gracious columnist reminding them to get out of that box of uncritical thinking and untested assumptions.

    So here goes:

Business Networking: Ten Questions You Can Use To Start A Conversation
Networking is one of the most important skills you must master in your path to becoming obscenely rich and successful. In the book Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill teaches that you must build your Mastermind Group through building your network. Your network is your personal advisers to help you in the path to success and the larger your Mastermind Group the more you can achieve. The key to building this group is to be able to network with your business associates, those you know and those you don't. There are ten questions you can use to start a conversation to learn about a person you may have not have me

Think Twice Before Signing A Background Check Consent
In today’s job market you must sign a consent form for a background check prior to employment. Employers have widespread availability to information on the Internet and put it to good use given all the events of security compromises in the workplace. Employers are responsible for the well being of their employees and scrutinize potential hires to avoid risks. As soon as you sign the consent form your past history is completely available to your prospective employer. Employers no longer just verify resumes and educational history. They also check your driving records, credit history, military records a

Why Hire a Professional Transcriptionist to Convert Your Dictation or Audios to Typed Text?
In a discussion forum for non-fiction writers (where I had posted my introduction of myself and my professional transcription business), another member replied and mentioned that for simple dictation, she uses a voice recognition software program. When what she had said really sank in, I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach! Then my reaction was huge dismay and questioning, "Why should I even stay in business?" This came JUST after spending almost two months getting clear on why my transcription business feels exciting to me and realizing that I want to assist and support creative, positi

Network Marketing! What's It All About?
Every day millions of employees go to their place of employment for their employers to use their time and effort to build a business --- a financial future, without any “REAL” consideration for their employees future! In Network Marketing, however, we do things much different. While all of us continue to gather customers, we also assist each other in building a business and a GREAT future. This is the true meaning of the words “Network Marketing.” We network with people, assist each other, and get paid for work that is done one time! It’s AWESOME!In the JOB (Just Over Broke) world, your employe

I made the point that at last some studies are coming out which show that Mexican immigrants, legal or otherwise, are NOT sucking dry the American health care system.[1] More studies are needed. This one needs replicating (see this footnote[2]). More will be forthcoming I am sure.

    2. Another issue that all the Minuteman Project groups and their ilk espouse is whether Mexican immigrants, legal or illegal, are destroying the American economy. The Chris Simcoxs[3] of this world would have you believe that immigrants of any kind are a bad thing all around. They go beyond the pale to try to make the point that Mexicans do NOT come to America to try to better their lives but to take back the portion of America that America stole from Mexico—they call them invaders.

    Think about these few points:

·Most Mexican immigrants, both legal and illegal, come to America to seek an opportunity to
