Digg it UP - Releasing Self Sabotage for Success and Happiness in Life
The Very First Step to Internet Riches y want it, but don’t believe it is possible and/or appropriate for them.Don’t worry, I’m not trying to sell you anything. :) This isn’t an ebook or report that you absolutely must buy to get rich online. Nor is it a piece of software that no self-respecting Internet marketer would be caught dead without.Rather, it is a piece of advice. It’s something which I’m sure you already know but somehow, like the human that you are, it must be drummed into your consiciousness before it will take. So, without further ceremony, the very first step to Internet riches is the realization that:“There is no such thing as a free lunch.”Don’t look at me with those incredulous eyes. I know that you know there is no such thing as a free lunch. And I am sure that you apply that very well in your everyday life.Too well, actual The power of WHY? Although the why question is frowned upon by many in NLP, personal development and hypnosis professionals, the place that I have found the Why question useful is in establishing someone’s motivation for doing something. Assuming Attending Julliard - The Gruelling Acceptance Process (Well Worth the Effort) Today, I wanted to mention this notion of self-sabotage.A Great School to Further Arts Studies But Competition is Tough and Admissions Officers are Very ChoosyAttending Julliard is amongst the most prestigious achievement that any musician, dancer or dramatist can achieve. The school is well known for their prestigious honors and the prestigious people who leave Julliard to pursue their passions. The acceptance process into Julliard is a rigorous process as they strive only to find the best in music, drama and dance. The Committee on Admissions selects students based on their performances at competitive auditions that are held at The Julliard School and other cities around the country. Members of the faculty of Julliard evaluate the students and in-person auditions are required by all students. Many excep I recently studied some material of Kevin Hogans and lots by John Grinder on this topic. John is the co-creators and developers of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). John points out the differences and distinction between what he refers to as ‘first-order change’ and ‘second-order change’. First order change is not really relevant to my writing today. Second-order changes are where a person could encounter what many people refer to as self-sabotage. Some examples of self sabotage include: - going partying until 4am the night before an important job interview - setting a goal of getting fit and healthy then eating chips and chocolate every night - deciding to leave an unhealthy, unhappy relationship, then not doing it When a person’s behaviours are not in line with what they say they want, there are three main possibilities: Firstly, it may be that they don’t really want it; maybe they are not convinced of the benefits. The second possibility is that they may well want it, but there are hidden benefits of the current state that will be lost. (For example, someone may get some short-term good feelings from eating all that chocolate when at home bored in an evening) Then the third possibility is that they want it, but don’t believe it is possible and/or appropriate for them. The power of WHY? Although the why question is frowned upon by many in NLP, personal development and hypnosis professionals, the place that I have found the Why question useful is in establishing someone’s motivation for doing something. Assuming t Female Anorexia ‘second-order change’. First order change is not really relevant to my writing today. There is absolutely no doubt that a vast majority of anorexics are women. Highest number of anorexic women belong to the age group of 10 to 20 years, but middle-aged women also form a substantial part of the anorexic population. Interestingly, even women as old as 76 years have been found to suffer from this disorder. Studies prove that chances of anorexia developing at an early age are higher for women as compared to men. This is because when girls reach puberty, many of them tend to put on weight. Since childhood, girls are made to feel that men are attracted to women who are thin and have a shapely figure. This, supplemented with the change of feelings that a girl undergoes regarding the opposite sex, leads to uncertainty and insecurity. Girls also tend to imitate public Second-order changes are where a person could encounter what many people refer to as self-sabotage. Assuming Danger In The Comfort Zone of getting fit and healthy then eating chips and chocolate every nightI don’t know who said it or where I heard it, but I’m sure it was brought to my attention by a sales trainer somewhere, at some time during my journey through the maze of countless sales trainings and seminars that I have attended over the years, but it does make perfect sense. There is danger in the comfort zone!Ahh yes! The comfort zone, we all know it very well, we have all spent a lot of time there. It is the safe place where everything comes so naturally and effortlessly, the place where no one can touch us, where we are the masters of our own house, and our own craft. The confidence that knowing our paycheck will be automatically deposited into our bank accounts has become as automatic as our daily routines. The danger...So what exactly is th - deciding to leave an unhealthy, unhappy relationship, then not doing it When a person’s behaviours are not in line with what they say they want, there are three main possibilities: Firstly, it may be that they don’t really want it; maybe they are not convinced of the benefits. Assuming Are You Undertrained? Ten Ways to Know are not convinced of the benefits. As professional salespeople with positive attitudes and a bit of ego, most would like to believe that they possess a good deal of knowledge and most likely do. But do they really have all that they need to get more than their fair share of business opportunities? Here are 10 questions to ask yourself to determine if you could benefit from ongoing professional development which would give you an edge in your sales career.1) Have you ever had a sales opportunity that was going well, just stop cold and you never knew why?2) Have you ever greeted a customer and heard the dreaded 'Just Looking' and didn't know what to do?3) Have you ever wondered why a prospect was cold toward you for no apparent reason?4) Have you ever done all the legwork for a clie The second possibility is that they may well want it, but there are hidden benefits of the current state that will be lost. Assuming The Journey to a Successful Affiliate Marketing Career y want it, but don’t believe it is possible and/or appropriate for them. The first question many people should ask themselves is why they want to get into affiliate marketing. Is it to earn a little extra money to pay bills and have a few little luxuries every now and again? Is it because they have a desire to work from home and this could be one way in which they could give up their day job and concentrate on affiliate marketing full time?Affiliate marketing can be one of the easiest and least expensive ways of doing business on the internet. But, as in most walks of life, it does take commitment and dedication.Like any other business venture, and affiliate marketing is no exception, you have to acquaint yourself with the basic knowledge and skills that are needed to succeed online. You need to educate yourself in the basics The power of WHY? Although the why question is frowned upon by many in NLP, personal development and hypnosis professionals, the place that I have found the Why question useful is in establishing someone’s motivation for doing something. Assuming that you have a clear idea of what you want. When you have an idea of something that you think you want, go ahead and ask yourself “Why do I want this? What will it get me? What will it do for me? Identify to yourself the benefits of making the change you wish to make. How much do you want them? Is it worth the effort? My experience with this is very straightforward: I will only put effort into something that I really want. Now, you can really rocket-fuel the experience by following this simple procedure: As I have suggested before, imagine that you are in that future situation enjoying the benefits of the change you have made. See what you’ll see, hear what you’ll hear and feel what you’ll feel once you have achieved that outcome (stopping smoking, achieved ideal weight, earned a certain amount of money, got that promotion, asked that person out on a date etc, etc.). Make the colours bright and really experience it in your mind as you think it would be. Then, just step out of the experience, dissociate yourself from it and see it, look at it as if you are looking at a picture of yourself in the future, enjoying the benefits of that change. Also, make that picture big, bold and bright. If at this point you are feeling motivated to make the change, great. If not, think to your
