Everywhere you look on the Internet these days, someone is offering a "fantastic new" Internet business opportunity. Many of these, of course, are built on MLM models. Some of the questions asked (or which should be asked) by people unfamiliar with MLM and/or Internet businesses and Internet marketing are:1. What is an MLM business?2. Is an MLM business even legal?3. Can I make money with an MLM business?4. Should I get involved with THIS online MLM business?5. What do I need to do to be successful in an MLM business - online or offline?6. Having looked at t

Blood Pressure Medication - It Can Save Your Life
If your doctor has diagnosed you with high or borderline-high blood pressure, he or she may first recommend that your try to bring it back into the normal range with diet and exercise. But if it is high enough to pose a threat to your health, you will almost certainly be given blood pressure medication to use in conjunction with your other changes.Blood pressure medication is one of the most commonly prescribed medicines in the world. Yet a surprisingly large number of those taking blood pressure medications, because they do not understand why they have high blood pressure, do not understand how their m
Often the most difficult parts of taking those first steps towards the path to success is not with the actual execution of the plan, but rather in your ability to take responsibility for your life. Jack Canfield, in his book the Success Principles, states a simple formula that you can use in taking responsibility for your life and for changing the desire outcome that you want in your own life. That formula is E + R = O. This stands for Event + Response = Outcome. This article will describe this formula so that you might be able to apply it to your own life.

External Events and Our Responses to Them

The ‘E’ in Canfield’s formula stands for Event, which is your external environment that you have no control over. Events always remain an uncontrollable given in the equation because you have little or no control over what happens in the outside world. You have no control over a tornado that strikes. You have no control over a flood. You have no control over being at the wrong place at the wrong time during a robbery.

People will often focus and waste their energy on blaming or trying to control the events in their life. They jump at the chance to be the victim by using disempowering self-talk phrases such as, “Why me?” “It’s all their fault.” “God must hate me.” Etc. This is classic victim talk which may win sympathy for their position by themselves and others, but it also removes all the responsibility that they have from changing their desi

Anti-aging Skin Care Treatments: What to Do When that First Wrinkle Appears
There comes a time in everybody’s life when we start to consider the implications of growing old and the possibilities of using one of the many different anti-aging treatments that are available. Coincidentally, this time of life is usually around the same time we discover our first wrinkle or laughter line. These first signs normally become apparent in your 30s or 40s if you are lucky and while that is the first time we will be likely to consider using anti-aging treatment, we really should start using it earlier than this. By keeping our skin healthy from an earlier age we are at least prolonging the aging eff

    The Eye of the Storm
I've been publishing a newsletter for over 6 years and I've been actively marketing and running an online business for almost 8... needless to say, I've seen a lot of trends come and go and definitely know all about lulls and surges.I know all of us would like more surges and if you're like me, you tend to get a little discouraged at first when you start to feel the effects of the lulls. This is normal and although they say you get used to it as time goes on, I have to say I still get discouraged every year around this time, but I've since learned how to deal with it a little more positively.Since

FAQ #3 from Media - Real Estate
Real estate bubble talk seems to be the most prevalent question I'm asked by the national media, be it print, online, or TV. The problem is that the market national real estate is comprised of thousands of micro-markets and making a sweeping generalization about the status of residential real estate in the United States doesn't serve anyone. After all would these journalists want their own home price deflated based on some broad market hype? I don't think so. Here are some common questions with my response. Is it a buyers market?Nash: Buyers have more weight in the market then they have had in the l

One Way to Measure PR Success
Look out the window! See any external audiences whose behaviors are important to you as a manager, but about whose perceptions of your organization you simply don’t have a clue? That’s risky because the perceptions of key outside audiences invariably lead to behaviors that can help or hurt a business, a non-profit, a government agency or an association.Instead, you might think about approaching those key outside folks this way. Try accepting the fact that what you are about to do is something meaningful about the behaviors of those important audiences that MOST affect the organiza

This is classic victim talk which may win sympathy for their position by themselves and others, but it also removes all the responsibility that they have from changing their desired outcome for the better.

    E +R = O in Action

To illustrate how the success equation works, let us attach some hypothetical numbers to this equation. Let us say that ‘Events’ equals one and ‘Response’ equals one. Therefore, our ‘Outcome’ must equal two. 1 + 1 = 2. Okay, so let’s say that you are not satisfied with the outcome being a two. Perhaps you want that outcome to be a four. You will note that the E (Events) in the equation cannot be changed because that is beyond our control. Therefore, the only variable that we can manipulate to bring about the desired outcome is our response. So we need to change our response from a one to a three in order for that equation to balance out correctly.

    Outcome-Directed Response

Throughout our lives, we will inevitably come across challenges and roadblocks that impede our way towards success. That’s just a part of life and it happens to everyone and it’s simply impossible to avoid them. What we do have total control over in our own lives is how we choose to respond to those events that happen. For example, imagine that you are walking down a busy corridor and you bump into somebody walking pas
