We succumb before the smallest of obstacles. We all know the recommendation: eat 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetables … each … day. At first it sounds simple, but then you start trying to think of what to eat and it seems like an insurmountable task. One day would be fine, but every day? And why can’t it be 5 fruit, 2 vegies? Well that part’s easy. All that fruit means a whole lot of sugar, and in fact, vegetables help tone sugar cravings down.A serving of vegetables equates to half a cup of cooked vegetables or 1 cup of raw salad vegetables and a serving of fruit is one medium piece (like apple or orange), half a cup of juice or half a cup of canned fruit. Here are some clever ways to incorporate more servings of both in your daily diet. Why Men Won't Commit To Marriage g enough physical energy to fix things in our lives when they break down. We succumb before the smallest of obstacles.A common reason why men wont commit could be due to their past. Men wont commit if they have witnessed their parents in the past arguing or rowing. Their childhood memories could be that of an unhappy one. They may not have been brought up in a happy family atmosphere. If their parents didn’t get on together then they would have seen this situation as normal family life. Men will be much more cautious of committing themselves to a stable relationship if they have been brought up in an unhappy environment. It is not until men experience a different family relationship that they gradually realise that not all families argue and row. They see how families relate to one another in a different light. They see them talk and discuss situations, plan and negotiate with one another, make arrangements to go out together as a family and, above all, make sure that everyone in that family is happy with all the arrangements. Ignorance, stupidity, and emotional jingoism and dogmatism have wrecked havoc on human life…and unless our species learns to value artistic and intellectual achievement, we will self-exterminate through overpopulation, pollution, epidemics, the collapse of nations, or a final war. After the downfall of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, China was crying out in need of a leader who could take it into the 20th century. That person was Deng Xiaoping, who stated leaders to be men, not gods. When the ten year Cultural Revolution came to an end in 1976, China entered into a new period of its history. To enable this to be carried out successfully, a new leader was needed. Deng stood out as one who had achieved success in his struggle against the Gang of Four, and was highly regarded by the Party and the people. He was not a follower of Communist ideology, and although he nevertheless firmly believed in one party rule, he also encouraged independent thought. As a result, people began to serious consider the position China was in and seek solutions to the problems. People began to act on logic rather than old ideology, and when the Third Plenary Session of the party’s Eleventh Central Committee convened in D Three: Low ideals. All greatness and all examples of cultural heroes arise from those who have held themselves up to a higher ideal then what the consensus reality deemed necessary. I am not talking here about morals, whose values arise from dogmatic creeds, but about an individual’s desire to better themselves and the world around them. Egoic desires for wealth, popularity, and total domination are not high ideals. Many world dictators have held all three, and they have brought nothing but misery to their countries and the world at large. Champions of worthy ideals have been people like Joseph Campbell, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, and others. Dipping into the biographies of great souls is the beginning of your own greatness. When Buckminster Fuller decided to made the decision to make his life an example of what one man can do to improve the world, he created a precedent whose magnitude if replicated will have a far-reaching effect. A high ideal is one that is good for you, that is good for others, and that is good for all mankind. Four: Dogmatic religiosity. Fanaticism is not spiritual. Understanding the great invisible forces of life can only come from original experience. Books and teachers may point the way, but ultimately, they do not light the path to deep understanding, and only make a false impression of learning. True spirituality consists of acts of kindness, moments of wisdom, and feelings of high inspiration. When we learn and absorb the lessons of our own life, enjoy genuine warmth in relationship to other people and experience wonder when contemplating the great scheme of all life, then we may awaken to spiritual understanding. Institutions, no matter how venerable, cannot make you spiritual. Gurus, no matter how advanced, cannot make you spiritual. Only your own unrelenting efforts at seeking the origins and meaning of the good, the true, and the beautiful will put your feet on the path to spiritual understanding. Spirit
