Wedding Planning: Get Organised m Kenshiro Abbe champion of all Japan" he politely asked the old man who he was, the old man replied
"I am Morihei Ueshiba founder of Aikido" Abbe Sensei nodded politely and suggested that they now try to get some sleep, the old man suddenly stuck his hand forward and offered the smallest digit to this powerfully built young man, Abbe was stunned as the old man said "
please break my finger" Abbe thought I will break his neck if he doesn't go to sleep, he was now becoming irritated by this old man, he immediately grasped the old mans finger in an attempt to shut him up, he freely admitted that in Wedding planning truly is an art and that's why many brides pay someone to organise every last detail, right down to writing the wedding invitations! Some brides even take a year off work to plan their big day! This is pretty extreme and not really necessary, but some brides feel they need this time to alleviate some of the pressure and stress. In fact, wedding planning can be a most enjoyable experience if handled the correct way.Firstly, you must appreciate that organising a wedding is hard work and needs to be carefully prepared. Buy yourself a book or folder - this will become your bible of all things weddingy for the next year or so. Keep all your ideas, magazine cuttings, deadlines, phone numbers and wedding invitation replies in this, your wedding planning folder.Once a date has been agreed, you need to get a dress chosen and ordered. It is worth noting that some wedding dresses can take up to 15 months! Now you must make a list of all the things that have to be done for your wedding, for example:Have wedding cake made and decoratedSend out wedding invitationsBook photographerBook churchDecide on honeymoonOrder wedding favoursChoose flowersTake out wedding insuranceAgree on groomsmen and bridesmaidsDecide which items are immediate [e.g. things that need to be prepared in advance, such as ordering the wedding invitations or booking the church]. Then, draw up a 12-month schedule and insert each job into a month. Of course, the more immediate actions will need to be addressed in the first few months, whereas ordering wedding favours may wait until later on.It would be a good idea to make a copy for your fiance and for your bridal party. Involving others in your wedding planning will make them feel more included as well as taking pressure off yourself. For example, you may put your chief bridesmaid in charge of wedding invitations - ordering them, writing them and sending them out.Next you should agree a budget. Very few brides actually stick to their budget but you should put some ideas down on paper and try to keep to your original quote as best you can. Include payment deadlines in your schedule so you know which payments are going out of your account each month. This way, you can Is A Career In Auto Sales Right For You? Sensei Henry Ellis Co-Author of the new book Positive Aikido.- 2005. A direct student from 1957 of the legendary master Kenshiro Abbe Sensi 1915 - 1985..Over the past few years several large, well funded companies such as Auto Nation, Sonic Automotive, and Roger Penske’s United Auto Group have quietly been buying up thousands of locally owned car dealerships across the nation. This has resulted in a major shift in dealership hiring practices when it comes to recruiting new salespeople. Gone are the days of horse trading, cigar smoking salespeople dressed in plaid leisure suits.Today’s dealerships actually prefer to hire, enthusiastic salespeople with no previous experience selling cars. Why? Because these new dealerships have developed standardized sales processes, and they find it is easier to teach a new recruit their methods than try to change the thinking of other, more experienced salespeople who have done business the old fashioned way for too many years.Modern car dealerships have borrowed a page from electronics retailers like Circuit City and Best Buy when it comes to hiring and training new car sales representatives. Take a new salesperson, load them up with product knowledge and communication skills, and teach them to work within a proven sales process. However, with car sales the rewards are much higher. A successful car sales representative can make $60,000 the first year. Many experienced car salespeople earn over $100,000 per year. Car retailers have learned an important lesson. Increased customer satisfaction equates to increased profits. Therefore, successful dealerships are looking to hire salespeople who can deliver satisfaction. The requirements for getting a job at a modern car dealership are good communication skills, honesty, a professional appearance and a desire to do the job. This is one of the few high paying jobs that does not require an advanced degree or years of experience. An ability to communicate and a friendly smile will take the modern car salesman or saleswoman a long way.In an industry that has long been dominated by men, more and more women are finding success, too. In the car business virtually all manager’s work their way up from the sales ranks. That’s because it takes an inside understanding of the car business to become a manager. Today’s salespeople with aspirations of a job in management will be tomorrow’s finance managers, sales managers, general PART 1 At first sight of the above title I am sure that a lot of Aikidoist's will be angry, they will assume that this is yet another attack on the credibility of Aikido by other martial artist's. On this occasion they are totally wrong, I have been a student of Aikido since 1956, In those early days I first started Judo in 1955 at the Kenshiro Abbe School of Budo, I studied Karate with Harada Sensei and Kendo with Tomio O'Tani Sensei, so with my background I feel that I have something to offer to this debate. First Impressions The Aikido that I first saw being demonstrated by Abbe Sensei in 1956 was without doubt a positive martial art. I was immediately impressed by its positive techniques and power, and in those days my fellow martial artists and I were in no doubt that we were witnessing a devastating new form of self-defence as demonstrated by Kenshiro Abbe Sensei. Abbe Sensei had begun his martial arts career at the age of five and became a legend in his own lifetime. At eighteen he was the youngest ever all Japan Judo champion and also the youngest ever 5th Dan at the world renowned Kodokan. He later became the oldest ever all Japan Judo champion at the age of thirty three. When Abbe Sensei arrived in the UK in 1955 he was 8th Dan Judo, 6th Dan Karate, 6th Dan Kendo, 6th Dan Kyudo, 6th Dan Aikido, the question must be asked; would this Budo master have studied Aikido if he did not believe it to be a martial art? It is my opinion that Abbe Sensei would not have studied Aikido as it is today. Please break my finger As a direct student of Abbe Sensei I asked one day whilst we were traveling to a seminar "Sensei, how did you first become a student of O'Sensei and Aikido"? He smiled as he reminisced for a few moments; then told me the following story: He said that he was a young man at the time and the Judo champion of all Japan and traveling on a crowded train across Japan to yet another Judo competion. Sitting opposite him in the same carriage was an old man who was trying to make some conversation with him, Abbe had his eyes closed as he tried to sleep. He later became the oldest ever all Japan Judo champion at the age of thirty three.Where do we, as struggling weekend amateurs, find the best golf tips? Of course we all have the playing partners who are never shy to lend advice when we are struggling, but we don't want to go down that road if we truly have a desire to improve our game, do we? What I'm saying is why would you listen to the advice of somebody who plays as bad or worse than you, even if the advice is well intentioned? That leads us back to the original question, where do we find the best golf tips? There are dozens of answers to that simple question. There are fantastic programs on The Golf Channel if you have access to it. There are also short segments on the weekly network coverage of the professional tours that give great advice. The major golf magazines have great tips and instruction segments in every issue. One magazine actually has a handy pocket card that you can tear out and take with you on the golf course. Many of these tips come from players on the professional tours.Your local teaching professional has many tips that they are willing to share with an interested pupil. I know of some teaching professionals who actually have an introductory lesson, to give the potential pupil the opportunity to find out if a lesson package would contain the type of information they expect when they commit to a series of lessons. There are thousands of books on the subject of golf that can help you find the answers to the questions you have. Some of the best books are from the old masters such as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead and Ben Hogan. Unfortunately many of these books are out of circulation, that doesn't mean you can't find them if you are searching diligently. The Internet offers a treasure of golf tips and instruction. Once again knowing where to search and what specifically you are looking for is the key part of this puzzle when searching for the best golf tips.Of all these potential answers of places to find the best golf tips, only one of them can we ask a specific question for a problem we are experiencing at that point in time. This is from our local teaching professional. For a variety of reasons for many people committing to a series of golf lessons just doesn't work out. The next best thing would be a book that offered a series of questions and answers that you When Abbe Sensei arrived in the UK in 1955 he was 8th Dan Judo, 6th Dan Karate, 6th Dan Kendo, 6th Dan Kyudo, 6th Dan Aikido, the question must be asked; would this Budo master have studied Aikido if he did not believe it to be a martial art? He smiled as he reminisced for a few moments; then told me the following story:It can be very expensive to pay for hair loss treatments but you can budget for them if you work with a reputable company and doctor. The exact cost of the treatment is going to depend on the type of transplant and how much hair is involved. Individuals with lighter shades of hair take more time to transplant so they cost more. The final cost depends on the number of grafts that have to be done in order to get great results. Almost all hair transplant resources are happy to provide free consultations. This is the perfect opportunity for you to talk with the doctor about the various hair transplant procedures as well as what you wish to accomplish by them. They can also discuss the different financing options available. Bosley is the most recognized hair loss treatment center in the world. They work with the financer Cosmetic Fee Plan, featuring a very fast and easy application process. You can even do it online. You will know your eligibility status in only a few days time. After you have been approved they will send you paperwork that you can take to your doctor. The financing offered by Cosmetic Fee Plan can be a maximum of $25,000. They offer 100% financing if you qualify and the monthly payment arrangements are very reasonable as well as set at a fixed rate. Other great hair transplant financing programs are offered CareCredit, AestheticFunding.com, HealthReady.com, and CapitalOne.com. You can also talk to your personal bank to find out if they lend money for such expenses. Some people choose to refinance their home to pay for the procedure. The cost of hair transplants aren’t cheap, but take a look at the life time cost of using other products for hair loss on the market. They can help your hair look better but they won’t be able to prevent it from getting thinner and your hair isn’t going to grow in those areas again. With a hair transplant, you are offered a permanent solution for hair loss. The various financial options help make it an affordable decision that fits into most any budget. To his total amazement he was suddenly slammed onto the carriage floor. As he lay prostrate and unable to move he knew he had to study with this master. He asked O'Sensei if he could study with him, O'Sensei agreed and Abbe stayed with O'Sensei for ten years.LCD flat screen monitors have become incredibly popular for a number of reasons. Many a home office or work space now has an LCD screen in front of the chair. In fact, it is the overwhelming success of the LCD flat screen monitor that eventually led to the development of LCD flat screen televisions that have even begun to give plasma televisions a run for their money on the entertainment market. If you are considering an LCD flat screen monitors, it is helpful to know a little bit about the pros and cons of lcd flat screen monitors. One of the big pros of LCD flat screen monitors is the space they require, or rather lack of space required. If you have limited space on your desk, then you will find that the thin and light weight nature of a flat screen LCD monitor to be very agreeable. They are easy to move between computers and to keep back so your eyes are not focused on such a nearby point. They also leave more room for reasonable arrangement of your keyboard, printer, and other accessories. More space means more efficiency and less clutter so that you can do your work more easily. Space sounds simple, but more of it can be a big help. If you ever have to move your computer and monitor you will also be able to do so with much more easy because of the size and weight of your LCD flat screen. One con on LCD flat screen televisions is the price. They are expensive to buy. However, the good news on that front is that every year the price goes down a little more. As technology and manufacturing improves, the prices become more reasonable. On the other hand, a pro of the price is that they cost less to own. The energy they use and the upkeep on them is less than traditional monitors. If you use your computer, and thus monitor, a lot then you will find the savings to be significant when you are talking about the long life of a monitor. Finally, a pro of the LCD monitor is that it is easier on the eyes. Most users of flat screen LCD monitors will tell you that they feel significantly less eye fatigue with the use of their monitor over the traditional monitors with tubes in them. Also, if you get an adaptable monitor, you can use it as both your television and computer monitor, which can be a great addition to your home office and entertainment center. Either way you will O'Sensei had spent many years studying various martial arts, I believe that the art of Daito-ryu and Ju-jitsu had more influence on the development of Aikido than anything else he had studied, and we know he went to Mongolia to fight and this would be the perfect opportunity to test his many skills in a real situation, so we can be in no doubt that this incredible man was a true warrior and modern Samurai. A knife for my enemy It was this early positive style of Aikido that Abbe Sensei brought to the UK in 1955, at this time there was also the first Japanese master to Europe, this was Tadashi Abe Sensei 6th Dan who was based in France, he was a small man even by Japanese standards, but to my mind he was the hardest man I have ever met. He was very similar to Kazuo Chiba Sensei who I met with in London's West End last week, When he traveled he always carried a knife with him, this was not for his own protection but to hand to his shocked opponent, he would say "please, this is for you". He said that an opponent with his bare fists was no challenge, but a man with a knife was "very interesting". I think we can safely assume that as these teachers were so hard and positive then this must have been the style of Aikido that was being taught at the Hombu dojo in Japan, this was the Aikido of O'Sensei as a young man, the Aikido being taught today is that of O'Sensei as an old man, there is no doubt that as people get older they lose the spirit of their youth and become more philosophical in their approach to life. My father who was once regarded as the toughest man in town later in life found his peace taking his dog for long walks. I believe that we now have two aikido's, traditional aikido which if truly traditional (this word is much abused) is the martial side of Aikido, the soft fantasy and dancing style of Aikido should simply be categorized as an "Art". Those who are true traditional Aikidoists will take no offence at this article, yet the dancers will probably be offended and I care little for their feelings as I honestl
