BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO............

Unfortunately, most of us believe this is too much trouble and make excuses as to why we can not take time for educational development. Successful people are too busy, they won't have time, I don't know any successful people and on and on the excuses go. Make a list of the names of people you know and consider to be successful, network and ask others for names of truly successful people, they do not have to be in your exact area of business. Do some research, have fun and see how many names you can come up with. If

Hold Your Nose and Look into Opportunities Others Avoid to Make 20 Times Faster Improvements
FIRST IMPRESSIONS CAN KEEP YOU FROM OPPORTUNITIESMost people can identify situations in which they dismissed an opportunity that someone else capitalized on later. Often these opportunities were overlooked or rejected because they were perceived as dull, boring, or unpleasant. You may recall the fairy tale of "The Ugly Duckling." It is the story of a cast-off baby bird that is mistreated because it is unattractive to the young ducklings raised with it. Much to everyone's surprise the ugly duckling develops into a beautiful swan. Thus, what we call the unattractiveness stall prevents people from seeing potential because
ARE YOU IN THE HABIT OF SUCCESS?

BUSINESS SUCCESS DEPENDS ON DEVELOPMENT OF GOOD HABITS!

Being a successful entrepreneur can be quite challenging to say the least. As an independent, small business owner, I am the CEO, Manager, Customer Service Representative, Office Administrator, and am in charge of Employee Development. As the leader, and possibly the only employee of my company, where and how do I start to implement goodl "habits " that ultimately will ensure my company's success?

The good news is we take one step at a time. The first step in developing good business habits is to start reading, or listening to books, ebooks, articles, and magazines that will help you focus on making a winning blueprint for your business. There are a multitude of top business, and personal development materials available at the touch of a keyboard. Books and articles are even available in audio email format which can be downloaded to an MP3 player for your listening convenience. You will want to make a list of known "guru's" in your particular area of interest and acquire their educational materials. All business's no matter how small, should have a budget for educational materials. If you are short on time just listen to these materials as you drive, excercise or relax.

Jim Rohn a well known business philosopher, and speaker states if you read one book every month about your industry, in ten years you'll have read 120 books. That will put you in the top one percent of your field. If you apply the knowledge you learn it will automatically launch your business on the journey to success.

Good "habits" lead to success and where do we learn about the habits of successful people other then just reading about them is studying them personally. In the book "The Power of Focus", written by Jack Canfield, Mark Hansen and Les Hewitt, we are encouraged to identify successful people in our lives and at least once a month have a conversation with one of these leaders. A lunch meeting or a similiar event sets the stage to personally interview the successful person, and find out about their routines, habits, what they read, what clubs they belong to, how they organize their daily method of operation, goals, dreams, and much more. In other words their we learn the "secrets of success". Most successful people will be delighted to share their knowledge with you, and enjoy being your personal coach.

Techno Gypsies - Freemasons Of The Third Millennia?
Today skilled programmers, installers and operators in information technology routinely change jobs as skill sets ascend, peak and wane in the face of new capabilities in technology. These Techno Gypsies move from start-up, to existing enterprise to start-up, all as demand for their skills shifts and changes. Like technology, their skills are in a constant state of growth as they master the challenges of increasing processing speed, storage capacity and the demand for ever increasing information. As the builders of the great information edifices of our age, they bear an uncanny resemblance to the freemasons of the thirte

Office Affiars - A Special Kind of Stress
Affairs between coworkers are not something new. For the most part the common reaction among the onlookers is one of surprise. Sometimes it is also one of criticism or condemnation. Occasionally it also provokes jealousy, as was the recent unprecedented case among the astronauts. Looked at from a broader perspective, affairs at work bear much in common with affairs at church. But it should come as no surprise that married people fall in love with coworkers at work and at church.Consider: it is an accepted truism among behavioral researchers that as people we are capable of falling love any number of times during our lif

Dangers of Contract Negotiations With Non-English Speaking Consumers
California like the rest of the country has many non-English or limited English speaking residents particularly within the Latino population. To capture these markets many companies often employ bilingual individuals. Sometimes these bilingual individuals chose to take advantage of the limited English speaking for greater profitability to the business and to line their own pockets. While limited English speaking customers may seem like easy targets, California law provides for tough sanctions and expansive protection of these customers.Under California law any person engaged in a trade or business who negotiates prim

Why Your Profit Margin Is Not Important
Profit margins seem to be main focus of executives and small business owners.Everyone from the CEO of General Motors to your average eBay seller is focused on it.But think fo what a profit margin actually represents. It’s not an indication of how much money you are actually making, it’s only a figure that tells what the profit portion is as a percentage of the total sale.In other words a $10 profit on a $100 sale means that your profit margin is 10%.Now let me ask you this, let’s assume your average profit margin is 100%. That type of profit margin would make any business owner envious. But what i

Do some research, have fun and see how many names you can come up with. If you can't take them out for lunch, perhaps make a telephone call and set up a scheduled time to interview them. Meet and spend time with successful people, attend a local meeting of business owners and you will eventually have more people to interview then you can manage.

Learning and applying the habits of successful people will shorten your learning curve in any business and accelerate your personal and business success.

For those people who see the value in working with other successful people, you might even consider finding a personal coach or mentor and meet together on a regular basis in person or by teleconferencing. There are plenty of these qualified individuals. One that I personally reccommend, who is a Business Coach and Personal Development Leader, is a man named David Neagle, I have heard him speak and have attended several teleconferencing calls with him. I cannot say enough about this individual and how many successful people he has helped along the way. Reach out and find someone you can trust and work from there.

Remember to add to your reading list biographies of successful people, listen to documentaries and be ready to have your business take off straight to the top. Soon you will be one of the successful business owners that people want to interview. There are no limits to our potential only self-imposed limits.
