    Learning Styles
We all have preferences for how we learn best. Are you visual, auditory or kinaesthetic? Put another way, do you like to see what I mean, or prefer to hear my idea or are you someone who likes to experience or feel what is being talked about.A person's learning style is a combination of how they perceive, then organise and finally process information. Once you're familiar with your learning style, you can t

Fortunately you are an RAC member, but does this constitute a car breakdown? Technically ‘no’, but you remember the friendly RAC Face to Face agent pointing out that the RAC will help if the driver becomes too ill or injured to drive, not just in a car breakdown situation.

Here we are, in the middle of May on a lovely sunny day and you have got a couple of mid week rest days off work. You and your family are up bright and early and you decide to take them out for the day.

Your little girl, Jemma is four years old and Carl is sixteen months old so of course your partner gets all the daily requirements ready, and you all get into the car. The seaside here we come! The colouring book and pencils keep Jemma quite happy while Carl sleeps most of the way and you arrive at the seaside about one and a half hours later.

First things first, Jemma wants to get onto the sands so you pick up a couple of buckets and spades and find a convenient patch to settle down. After applying sun protection to the children, they get busy building sand castles.

Things are going quite nicely now, you have relaxed into the day and then Jemma spots the donkeys which have just been brought down onto the beach. You take some photos of the children playing in the sand and some shots of them on the donkeys, they love it on the donkeys. After some time the family is getting hungry so you gather everything up, clean the children off and take a walk into town for something to eat. You find a little caf? with child meal portions at reasonable prices so you settle for that.

After the meal you take a look around town, your partner does a little shopping and then suddenly you slip off the causeway edge, you hear a loud ‘crack’ and end up on the floor. You think the worst and stay still for a few minutes.

It seems strange but you don’t feel any pain so you carefully start to get up and surprisingly you are able to put your weight on the ankle, so you continue browsing. As you continue to walk around, however, the ankle starts to ache and gradually over the next thirty minutes or so, you cannot put weight on it. On removing your shoe and sock you see it is now very swollen and starting to show bruising.

What to do now, you start to worry. Is it broken? Someone comes over to see what is wrong, they call an ambulance and you end up at the local hospital with your partner and children. After having an x-ray on your ankle, the doctor states that there is a broken bone and you need to support your ankle with a pot. Your thoughts turn to your family and how you can get home.
