Ecommerce Website Owners : Are You Leaving Money on the Counter?
Own an ecommerce website? Do you have a mailing list?If not, you’re potentially leaving a lot of money on the counter.Keeping in touch with your past customers and visitors, is one of the easiest and cost effective methods of increasing your website sales. You simply must have a mechanism to collect the email addresses of both buyers and browsers alike.Collecting buyers email addresses is a ”no brainer” – after all you need to send them confirmation details, receipts etc. Just make sure you ask their permission to keep them up to date on future special offers.Collecting visitor details is a bit trickier, and you must offer some kind of incentive in return for them handing over their valuable email address. Here are several ways:· A discount voucher off their first orderThe amount you are prepared to offer will depend on the profit margin in your business, and the drawback is you may only get the email addresses of people who were going to purchase anyway.· A competition to win one of your productsDo make sure you are honest and pick a winner – put past winner details on your site to emphasise this· An insiders buyers guideIf you offer technical products that can be tricky to understand – such as electronics, audio-visual etc, then write a shor

    AdSense Is Making Me Rich
I want to talk to you about the power of Google AdSense and how you can use it to generate not hundreds, not thousands, but tens of thousands of dollars from your website. I’ve only been using AdSense for a few months, but already I’m earning thousands and thousands every single week just from AdSense. I want to share with you right now some secrets on how I do that. One of the best secrets that I’ve learned about AdSense is that you can get a lot of revenue if you place AdSense in your links pages. Almost everybody now has a links page or collection of links on their website for other resources. If you have a categorized links directory or a few links pages grouped together this is even better. What AdSense can then do is determine exactly which ads to show on which page.Since you’re already going to be losing traffic from those links anyway, why not get paid to actually drive people to other websites! That’s one of the key secrets: include AdSense on your links pages.Another great secret is to use your newsletter or mailing list to generate AdSense revenue. They don’t allow you to send anything out by email that includes AdSense, but what you can do is you can create a newsletter that is online. You would send an email and, rather than including the newsletter within that email, you would send people to a link.
Online success is found by solving pressing problems. People go online seeking solutions to painful, nagging problems and, if you offer those solutions, they will gladly pay you for your assistance.

Even after three years on the Internet, we can feel your frustrations. We, at times, suffer from the same issues. Here is the answer we all have been waiting for. If you understand the solutions, (there are more than one), then you are well on the way to Internet Success.

It is not necessary to be an Internet Marketing Guru to have success on the Internet. Just follow seven, (not so easy steps).

What we are about to discuss is an overview and, in no way, a complete explanation of each topic. Books, ezines, and articles have been written on EACH subject.

Our suggestions are "bullet points" four YOU to begin YOUR RESEARCH.

    1. email campaigns - Always include a signature, (Full name, address, email address, website), at the end of each email.

Always provide an optout statement, with an easy optout link to prevent SPAM complaints. And, always put some thought in your message to make it believable and worth time to read.

    2. Advertising copy (clever, "eye catching" ad title)

    3. ad tracking - Do it!

    4. Search engine placement using appropriate RELEVANT keywords with high ranking KEI value. (10 or more, the higher the better)

    5. Use as many FREE ad services you can handle, (NOT CLASSIFIED), like feeds, Blogs, Groups, etc. These ads will be TARGETED to YOUR product or services.

Give the Buyer Options - Selling Professional Services
Many people say that you should put yourself in the client's place to get a better perspective on how to proceed. Actually, you must go beyond that. You must put yourself in the place of each and every client, not just any client in general. Why? Because every client's perception of success in terms of your project performance, level of detail, timeliness, deliverables, and autonomy is different.Giving the buyer options is one way of catering to the client. Some clients consider an executive summary of an audit an acceptable deliverable, while others want every detail. Some have information technology staff on their payroll and can maintain a computer automation product that you provide, while others prefer to buy the maintenance contract and have nothing to do with customization or computer code.Providing options gives you a more accurate picture of how the project will unfold, and you can plan accordingly. If a client is asking to meet a difficult deadline that will require you to shift considerable resources and perhaps disrupt the flow of work in your organization, you can provide an option in the budget for expedited service. If a client accepts, you'll be compensated for the extra effort and will have some advance notice that will allow you to schedule your staff appropriately. If the client declines, they're ackn

Bloggers Often Hide Their Identity in Their Domain Name Registration
Many bloggers believe that it is unsafe for them to put their name and address in their domain name registration because there are so many crazy people out there and because other bloggers have received death threats. I would like to say that if a Blogger is saying something so offensive that they are getting death threats then maybe they should not say it.Would they say it in public? Probably not, so they say it on a blog or with a pen name and then go hide behind a rock? If you believe in something and say it, then you ought to have the personal character to stand by those words and back them up.Many Bloggers think it is okay to lambaste the president, government, corporation, non-profit, religion, or some group that they single out. Then they want to go and hide? Why is it people say stuff on their blogs, but in public stay silent? Maybe bloggers ought to tone it down.Too many political groups now use blogging to make a statement for pure political reasons and if they hide, you cannot know what is real. I think if a man or woman will not stand behind their words, then their words are not worth the blog they were written on.Stand up for what you believe in or shut up is the message I think I wish to send to bloggers, forum posters and members of the peanut gallery. The Stalking thing is another reason. B

Is Your Website Credit Card Friendly?
In my last column I discussed the process of credit card enabling your brick-and-mortar business. I pointed out that research has shown that accepting credit cards can help increase revenue and enhance cash flow. I also pointed out that you may have to look beyond your local bank for help in getting things set up. This week we will look at setting up an online payment system for your business website. If you think hooking up a brick-and-mortar location with a credit card system stymies most bankers, try asking them how to do it on your website. If you'll recall, the question that spurred this topic came from a lady who went to her local bank for help in setting up a credit card acceptance system for her business and her banker wasn't very knowledgeable on the subject. I pointed out that her banker's ignorance of the subject probably wasn't a reflection on his skills as a banker, but a reflection on the compartmentalization of the credit card aspect of banking. The fact is, most banks can provide you with the merchant account needed to accept credit card payments, but beyond that have little to do with the process. Even larger banks may only have a single person on staff who is tasked as the "credit card expert" and if that person ever goes on vacation, you're pretty much out of luck (voice of experience talking here, folk

    7. Be prepared to invest capital, (money) - BUT, PREPARE a monthly BUDGET, and monitor your GROSS PROFIT - (Gross Sales minus COST of Sales).

As gross profit increases, (hopefully), increase investment in ADVERTISING AND MARKETING.

"Targeted Marketing" of well-written email, professionally looking, (no typos, good formatting), with eye-catching titles, sent to a targeted market, are cost effective and very productive.

However, that only represents about 48% of your total market. The other 52% comes from Search Engines.

Newsletters are excellent for staying in touch with your existing customers or downlines. We use ONLINE software whenever possible, (NO DOWNLOADS, NO RETURN EMAILS, AUTOMATED, and excellent TRACKING).

Ad copy placed anywhere must have a catchy ad title, and substantive copy that will create immediate curiosity.

“Tweak” the ads for better ad copy.

Ad tracking helps save money, produces better results and increases Search engine placement (SEO), increases sales, and will guaranty traffic; traffic equals sales. I am a bit of a stats nut, but, it sure pays off.

A long time ago, when we first started email marketing, we set up an ad tracking system using a spreadsheet application.

Now, our delivery system provides highly sophisticated stats for information, (NOT FOR TRACKING OUR READERS), but to manage the success, or failure of a specific campaign, base
