Career Success Through Loving What You Do
Rumor has it that most people are living lives of quiet desperation, not engaged in work that brings them fulfillment. If that’s true for you, take heart. There is a way for you to love what you do and do what you love. Some people set out working in organizations or committed to jobs only to find they have surprisingly moved away from their original intention. If they moved into their field to “make a difference,” they now push paper and feel far removed from the reasons that led them to this place.Others long ago bought into the belief that it’s nearly impossible to be doing work that brings them joy. After all, shouldn’t they just be grateful to
This particular category of prospects is the one most internet marketers focus on and is the basis of many strategies you might have heard of to this point. These are people who get on your list because they somehow requested content of yours or otherwise made a request for something you were offering – content, information about an offer, a coupon, etc. The process of them doing so qualifies them as being interested in both your niche and the particular product or offerings you have or will be making available to them.

Affiliate Programs: A Way to Profit Online
Have you heard of the term affiliate program? If you’re interested in making money online or starting a home based business using your computer and the Internet, an affiliate program might just be what you’re looking for.An affiliate program is a company who has a product or service to sell. You join and promote the product or service for a commission. Commissions vary with different affiliate programs. They are usually anywhere from 20% right up to 100 % commission from each sale.Affiliate programs can be free to join, a one-time payment or a monthly subscription. An affiliate program that has a monthly subscription will produce a monthly resi
“The Money is in the List”

You’ve probably read that statement or heard it thousands of times if you have been in, or even just exploring, the business of marketing on the internet for more than about a week. It’s clich?, but it’s also true. Long-term marketing success and profitability is much more likely with a good, strong, well-developed mailing list. It increases conversion rates and customer profitability through repeat sales opportunities, either directly or through affiliate commissions.

With that said, the question then becomes how to build a good list. To do that, we need to think about the composition of a good mailing list. There are different ways names get on a list, and therefore they have different values as customers and prospective customers. Let’s go through them.

Random Entries These are people who come to your list without any kind of filter or screen. Imagine just being given a list of names and email address of people which have nothing specific in common. Unless you’re a spammer (and I hope you aren’t) the value of this kind of list is practically zero.

How do you promote and sell to these people? It’s a hit or miss prospect at best. You conversion ratio is going to be extremely low. That means your profitability per member of your list is going to be low as well.

Lists of this kind are practically worthless. It amazes me that anyone would even think to develop one this way - perhaps by purchasing leads - but it happens.

Subject Qualified The next step up the chain in terms of list member quality is the prospect that has been screened somehow based on the niche you operate in and the type of product or products you will be marketing to them. This sort of list is going to be much more responsive than one based on random inclusion. At least you know these people have an interest in the subject matter you are covering. That means better conversion and per prospect profitability.

Purchasing mailing lists is one way to get these prospects.

Your Content Qualified This particular category of prospects is the one most internet marketers focus on and is the basis of many strategies you might have heard of to this point. Why I Left Corporate America in Pursuit of the Perfect Squeegee
I’m the founder of Cleret, maker of the coolest looking squeegees on the planet. It all started in 1986 when I let this big burly contractor talk me into putting fancy clear glass shower doors in my brand new bath - BIG MISTAKE!After bathing, there were all these unsightly water spots on my new glass shower doors and puddles everywhere. And then it started to mildew and turn green and stink. My bath looked horrible, and it looked (and was) dirty all the time. To combat this, I began to wipe down my bath after each shower with my bath towel. But by the end of the week I had a mountain of towels piled nearly to the ceiling in corner of my bath. Ugh!<

    World Class Resume Writing
Many of my most highly educated candidates come to my recruiting firm with complaints about a lack of employer commitment to their particular employment field or specialty. It’s a common theme for deciding to make a job change. My response as a recruiter with over 30 years of experience has been that it’s up to you to engender that commitment. But if you have tried to get management to recognize the benefits of a broader view of your profession and failed then it really is time to look around. If this high level of employer commitment is your primary goal in changing jobs then you should structure your job search to aim at those organizations that meet wor

How to Create Your Own Indie-artist Press Release
Creating a press release can be one of the best ways for an indie artist, or band, to gain some instant media exposure for themselves. And you know, as well as I, that exposure is the name of the game these days. Even though the world-wide web has opened up many new possibilites for the independent artist, the competition can be fearsome. So, if you have any news item worthy of print (i.e. a new CD for sale, or a concert coming up, etc.) then a press release might be just the ticket to give you an edge. It will provide the publicity necessary for people to know who you are, so that your music will get heard. In order to make the best first impression on

Are You Feeding Your Sales With A Teaspoon?
I just got back from spending 2 glorious weeks in the Caribbean ...and my tan is fading as I write this! (April in Canada isn't exactly tanning weather!)It was wonderful to take 2 weeks off, and know that while I was away - the Sales Diva systems were generating revenue even when I wasn't there.I had over $20,000 booked while I was away - all with the help of automated systems, a fabulous assistant and...here is the most important part...the fact that I don't feed my sales with a teaspoon. You're thinking....teaspoon? What the heck is she talking about! Are You Filling Your Bucket One Teaspoonful At A Time? Do yo
This particular category of prospects is the one most internet marketers focus on and is the basis of many strategies you might have heard of to this point. Hopefully you can see the increased value of prospects that have been qualified this way. Since they have already declared their interest in you and/or what you might be putting in front of them by way of promotions and other offers, they are much more likely to be responsive, and therefore should convert at a higher rate.

Here are some of the common strategies employed by internet marketers to build lists with prospects of this kind:

    • Give away free reports
    • Provide access to a free video
    • Offer free attendance to a tele-seminar
    • Co-registration
    • Squeeze page leading in to primary sales offer page
    • Integration marketing
You can probably think of others that you’ve either heard about or are employing yourself. Some are slow and steady ways to grow a list. Others can operate much more rapidly, if you get them set up and running effectively.

Purchasers of Related Products On a similar, perhaps a bit higher, level to prospects that are qualified as having interest in your specific niche and content are those who have purchased similar or related products in the past. These are folks who have actually spent money on the sorts of things you are planning on selling them and/or marketing to them.

The one big drawback to many of the strategies used when building a list of qualified folks the way most people are going about doing it is the fact that they will inevitably end up with a lot of freebie hunters on the list. These are folks who provided their name and email address to receive a free report, video, audio, or whatever, but don’t really have any intention on putting up any money. If you can build a list of proven buyers you are likely to see higher conversion ratios and per member profitability from you list.

Buying leads is one commonly used method for building a list of this sort. Integrated marketing in which one marketer sends buyers of their products to another marketer as prospects for theirs is another way.

Purchasers of Your Products Now we get to the ultimate list member!
