Create Your Own Business Cards, Part 1
In this lesson, we will create a business card, using Microsoft Word. I created a new template for my business card. It can be viewed at: http://janes-place.com/bus_card.htmChoose the information you want to place on your card before beginning. Here's how I did it:Go to 'start' --'Microsoft Word' -- 'file menu' -- 'page setup'. Choose the 'Margins Tab'. Type in 1.25 for the Left and Right margins. That way, two cards will fit on a 8 1/2 x 11in. sheet, side by side. Click 'ok'.In the 'Format Menu' choose 'Columns'. Where it asks for the number of columns, use the arrows to go down until the number 'two' is in the box. Go down to 'Width' and type in 2.75in. The 'Spacing' will adjust automatically. Be sure the 'Equal Column Width' and the 'Line Between' boxes are checked. Click 'ok'. and newspapers, on billboard
Call Center Solutions for CRM and Contact Center Professionals
Like anything else in the business world, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) requires a necessity to stay in-tune with the latest communications technology. You either adapt to stay in the game or fall way behind the competition. This statement especially rings true for call centers as new technologies, applications and call center solutions are often introduced to improve daily and long-term operations. With that said, it is one thing to understand the importance of having this dedication to learn about the latest call center solutions and quite another to actually do so.Learning about the latest advanced call center solutions can be a daunting task for several reasons. To begin with, not everyone is accustomed to or experienced with call center solutions and terminology. Common terms like ACD,

    Business Kissing
Have you noticed how suddenly everyone’s kissing. I’m not talking continental kissing, pecking one cheek, and then the other. I mean a bit of a hug then a kiss on the cheek or the side of the face at least. And it’s not just extended family and very close friends here. Though certainly they’re at it too. No, I mean kissing in a business context. Seems to me the rule is, if you have ever met the person before even just once, then you greet them with a kiss. Male-female kiss, yes. Female-male kiss, sure. Female–female absolutely. Male-male, actually I’m not sure. Maybe my readers can enlighten me.Everyone’s doing it. Bank manager and customer. Boss and employee. Next door neighbours. Client and accountant. Any old colleague. They’re all welcoming each other with a little muffle and a scuffle around the cheek and lip area. Granted, not a full smackaroon

The Best Way to Save Money On Advertising - Target Locally
Over the years I discovered exactly what derails an ad. More often thatn not, when an ad fails to produce results, the problem isn't with the ad. The problem is with WHO the ad reaches. Before you start blaming lack of response on your ad, stop a moment to consider who it is TARGETED to.Let's take a moment to look at Internet advertising. First off, let me say I dearly love advertising on the Net. The advertising rates for search engines and ezines are far, far lower than advertising your business on traditional media like TV or newspapers. For what one TV commercial would cost, I can advertise a business extensively for weeks, even months. But, as I'm sure you've realized by now, the Internet is no magic advertising medium. Just as often as with anywhere else, your ad can pull less than expected response. The problem is with lack of targeting. If

Does Your Income Reflect Your Effort?
The one thing almost all the women I meet have in common is that they are too smart for their own good! This is probably true for you, too!If you have great ideas all the time and are very passionate about what you do, and you can never seem to get everything done when you want it done, congratulations - this is you.I understand that you don't want to give anything up, and coming up with the brilliant ideas makes you happy – so don't stop doing it. Instead, you need a tool to keep you focused so you can complete the highest priority items so you can have the cash flow you deserve.Determining your priorities and sticking with them is a systematic approach. You need to know how you are getting the clients you have had. Try this exercise: look at all the clients you have gotten in the last 18 months. Add 2 pieces of information for each – where did

    Productivity is Frequently Not Orderly!
Jim thought he was organized. Everything was color coded, and there was a file for every project he work working on – each with sub files, research files – all neatly stored in state-of-the-art filing cabinets. So why can’t Jim find anything? One of the biggest frustration of being called “an organizing consultant” is that people assume you are always orderly (some would call it a “neatfreak!) Creative people often assume that “being organized” would cramp their style. Nothing could be further from the truth – at least in my case! Let me illustrate.Recently I came home from a shopping trip with several bags of groceries which I dumped on the counter. In the midst of unpacking them I decided to bake the cake I was planning for dinner. In the middle of mixing the cake, I realized there was more fresh coconut than I needed for the cake, so I decided to mak
