The value of your wages will always be based on necessity, how unique and scarce your resources, energy, passion, talents, experience, time and achievements are.
If you are doing what the average Joe can do, you will always have to settle for an average wage. Why pay you more when Mark, Sharon and Sally can do the same job and probably better. You are placing a lesser value on yourself and refusing to discover the real you and your true potentials.
On the other hand, if you know what your true talents are, capitalise on them, celebrate them daily by improving and exercising them and allowing your natural energisers (PASSION) to engage your daily activities, then you will soon be the envy of all and highly demanded by many.

Trusting in his own abilities and believes, he took only his sling and a few stones (talents), with no armour (what every one wears - the average Joe) and to everyone's amazement, struck the giant in the head and killed Goliath with only one stone from a single shot from his sling.
His reward: Great riches, a place in the palace with the King, favour with the King's son and the hand of the King's daughter in marriage.
