The Price You Pay for Not Accepting Yourself

A humorous (and at one time very embarrassing) story about how I learned to accept myself for who I was.

Our Only Obstacle

Let's say you believe life is difficult and I believe it's happy and fun. Someone else might believe it's good in certain situations. Which outlook is true? Are they all true? Or are none of them true? The answer is, it depends entirely on your viewpoint. A belief is something we decide should be true based upon our life experiences and perceptions. What's true for me might not be true for you and vice versa.

Creating Your World Consciously

Each day we make decisions on how will our world and our life will manifest. From conscious decisions on what to wear which offers a mirror of what we are to the world and ourselves, to sometimes less conscious decisions of what we say and how we hold our bodies, every move we make, consciously or unconsciously It's a powerful thing to have that much influence over our lives, and an honor as well our world.

The First Key to Getting What You Want

God has placed within each of us a desire to have more in life. But what do we need to do in order to get what we want? The first key is to know what we want.

July Thoughts

There are some distresses in life that must be shared. When the doctor tries gently to break the news to the grieving mother that her beautiful 20-year-old daughter has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, another heart and shoulder must be there to help bear the awful burden; when the perplexed husband is told that his wife of 52 years has Alzheimer's, he needs another to bear the burden with him.

June Thoughts

How tempted we are to rake the one who has just insulted our dignity; how dare he or she tell us we are less than perfect. But there He stood, the perfect One, in the de profundus of His life, unjustly examined and accused and unmercifully degraded. In this storm of abuse, Jesus held His peace and answered nothing. The meek and lowly One would not defend His words and work, He whose words will not pass away (Matthew 24:35) and whose works abide forever. Be silent, be silent!

March Thoughts

Our cup overflows with all kinds of goodness: the beauty of the sunrise, the promises in His Word which cannot be broken, our families and friends who we love and who love us, enough to eat, clothes, a bed, a toothbrush, hot water, eyes to see, ears to hear, homes, birds, trees, a job that we enjoy if we are that fortunate and, in the evening, the sunset and evening star. Indeed, our cup of plenty overflows; does our cup of gratitude overflow, also?

I Want You

I want you to be happy, I want you to win, I want you to achieve all of your dreams and I want you to start again. I want so much more for you and I know you want that too. I feel your vibrational energy as you run by and I do not disturb you because I know you have things to do. I want you to be content, warm and enjoy the beauty and the Sun.

Sticks And Stones And Sore Jawbones

Sometimes it takes years for that titillating and scintillating bit of slander to take its toll. When the person finally dies of heartbreak, no one understands. Why should they? Mid Life Crisis (MLC) Fact or Fiction? This Too Will Pass

I turned 40 this year in January and thought not too much about it, however as the year has progressed I’ve felt like a frustrated 13 year old.
