In matters of love and sex, of course, as with many other things, men and women are not in the same page. Men need sex to give love; women need love to have sex.

Have you even seen those old couples that look so friendly towards each other? Would it be wonderful if we could be friends and lovers at the same time? I know a few couples who have become friends: theirs is a strong marriage and they have the time of their lives.

It is quite common for couples to get married because they have a baby on the way or because they want kids and historically it was common practice to have children soon after marriage. In the basic of the traditional system of education and socialization of a gender there is a so called initial work distribution between men and women. This work distribution has defined completely different conditions for life of men and women. Women who are in relationships and in general make threats they cannot keep most of the time. They do so mainly because they are not coming from a place of strength but rather weakness (soft). It works because they are soft and men back down easily sometimes, yet when it doesn't work all that happens is the man maintains his position of power and the relationship remains the same if not strengthened by the man displaying his strength.

At the social, time is the most important resource you will have. Your short-term goal is to meet as many women as possible at the social. Keep your predefined personal criteria forefront in your mind as you approach them.

Lying: Obviously not a trait that one hopes for in a potential mate. Lying: A possible form of mistreatment in a relationship that can have you questioning you own sanity.

Going out on a date, should be equivalent to a fun experience that people would be fond of doing. Unfortunately, due to ever-increasing incidents of date rape, especially women seem today reluctant to go out with men they barely know and even if they do are extremely afraid of opening up or letting themselves drink a glass more than usual.

Many would agree there is a need for Black men and women to come together and work towards healing our relationships. Black people have the lowest marriage rates and the highest divorce rates.

Many men in relationships might find themselves in situations similar to that of Kevin Spacey’s character Lester Burnham in American Beauty. Somewhere along the way after meeting a woman who you thought made you happy, you ended up making sacrifice after sacrifice. Now, you live day to day numb to reality because you have allowed it to take so much. Your only hope in life is for it all too just end and the sooner the better.
