As every hopeless romantic would declare, love is bliss. And if you were to believe that every love story ends in “happily ever after”, the world would have been a happy place to live in.

And I stopped and thought about how these traditions come and stay. About how generations of children have celebrated religious heritages with bar/bat mitzvahs and christenings and baptism parties; about how American girls have Sweet Sixteen’s and how Latin girls have Quince’s. About weddings. And how these events occur just once in a lifetime. Once or twice in a family.

Always make it a point whatever the argument or conflict keep the children out of it and try not to quarrel in front of them. Help them develop a positive attitude in life.

It seems that in our society it has come to be expected that women will get together and criticize their husbands and boyfriends and men will get together and put down their wives and girlfriends. Everyone has to have a few sarcastic comments to fling at their partner, especially when there is an audience around to laugh at their expense. We tend to tear down the very person we claim to love. I think it has become so common in our society that sometimes people don’t even realize they are doing it.

The situation requires acceptance and forgiveness. Can you accept and forgive without dwelling on the idea that it is truly none of your business whether the other person will mend the hole that is now part of your heart?

The vehemence of your feelings towards a partner who has let you down does not necessarily mean relationship is over. The opposite of love is not hate but indifference.

There are 7 realms of love. In each we see the world so different. Why? Because each realm holds love with a different motive. The lowest is purely physical, the highest is purely spiritual. Relationships slide up and down this scale. Can you free yourself to enjoy the journey?

The most important question in my mind, though, is: do we really need to have an excuse for not having sex? What does one do to avoid such a conflict of interests that is so obviously important in a relationship?

Or, where the male is a cheating spouse, then perhaps 'Cheetah Daddy' may fit the bill?
